Frequent leaks, consistently low water pressure, discolored water, or pipes that are known to be made of lead or polybutylene are all strong indicators that repiping deserves serious consideration. A plumber can evaluate the age and condition of your system and give you an honest picture of what you're working with.

The Hidden Culprits Behind Blockages
Grease solidifying along pipe walls, tree roots threading their way into underground lines, mineral scale narrowing the interior of older pipes, and years of accumulated debris all contribute to drainage problems that get worse over time rather than better. What might start as a mildly slow drain can escalate into a backup that affects multiple fixtures throughout your home at once. Mr. Rooter Plumbing takes a thorough, investigative approach to every service call in El Lago, identifying exactly what is causing the restriction before any work begins so the solution addresses the real problem from the start.

Steven and Justin came out to my home today to service two of toilets that were having flushing issue. Both men were very skilled and knowledgeable and they fixed my plumbing issues literally in a matter of minutes. They also advised me that it would be in my best interest to replace both toilets with American Standard Champion and they recommend this brand as being number 1 in the industry and guarantee me a 5 yr warranty. Being that my toilets are rather old and seem to be having flushing issues. Lastly, I would just like to say that I highly recommend this company and these two kind and respectful gentleman to all customers. Thanks Steven and Justin for doing such an amazing job today. I am more than satisfied with your work and your level of service that you provided me today.
Steven and Fred were both very thorough and efficient. I was impressed with their overall knowledge and ability to diagnose the issue quickly and solve the problem. I was thankful for their quick attention because we are going out of town soon and this gives us piece of mind. They also recommended ways to help prevent this from happening in the future which I appreciated. Recommend them again for sure.
Sean did an excellent job from start to finish. He was very professional, communicated clearly, worked quickly, and provided a lot of helpful advice throughout the process. His quality of work was great and he made sure everything was done right. Definitely appreciate his service and highly recommend him!
Justin was top tier! Not only did he solve our 3 backed up sinks quickly and thoroughly, he provided insight on the cause and preventative tips to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We’ve had multiple plumbers come out through our home warranty and none took the time and effort to get to the root cause like Justin!
Steven and Fred where a breath of fresh air. 1 they arrived on time ahead of schedule so I didn't have to wait all day for my time window. Mr Rooter was the 3rd company that came out to fix my dishwasher. Steven assessed the issue and it was an extremely simple fix. He made my plumbing work better vs redoing what someone did before and doing patch work. Both gentlemen where polite and patient. I will be requesting them only from here on out
Mr. Tyler and Mr. Hane came to do work us on 12/12/25. They called me the day of appointment 15 minutes before they arrive. they were timely, extremely professional and knowledgeable. Explained to me what they will be doing, the estimated time it would take them. Since I used my home warranty, the work was done at no cost to me at the time of service. Tyler and Hane went above and beyond by inspecting and tightening my backyard leaking faucet. Excellent service.
Equipment That Matches the Severity of the Job
Clogged drain cleaning in El Lago handled by Mr. Rooter Plumbing goes far beyond anything a hardware store product or basic plunger can accomplish against a serious blockage. High-pressure hydro-jetting technology blasts through grease, scale, and compacted debris, scrubbing the interior walls of the pipe clean rather than simply displacing the clog further down the line. For blockages that require a more targeted approach, motorized augers reach deep into the drain system to break apart obstructions that have built up over months or even years.
Addressing Damage That Sits Beneath the Surface
Clogged drain repair in El Lago is sometimes necessary not because of what has built up inside a pipe, but because of structural damage that prevents the pipe from functioning correctly in the first place. Cracked or misaligned sections caused by soil shifting, invasive root systems, or simple age-related wear can create recurring blockages that return no matter how thoroughly the line gets cleaned. Our team uses specialized inspection technology to see inside your drain lines and pinpoint exactly where the damage exists, giving you a clear picture of what needs to be done and why.

Once the source of the problem is confirmed, clogged drain line repair focuses on correcting the specific section of pipe that is causing trouble rather than treating the entire system as a single issue. When a Drain Line Replacement Makes More Sense
Older properties in El Lago sometimes have drain systems that have simply reached the end of their serviceable life, and no amount of repair work will produce a reliable long-term result. Drain line replacement removes compromised pipe sections entirely and installs new materials that meet current plumbing standards, eliminating the cycle of repeated repairs and restoring your system to peak performance. Mr. Rooter Plumbing walks you through the full scope of a replacement project before any work begins so you know exactly what to anticipate at every stage of the process.
Starting Drain Line Installation the Right Way
New additions to your home, small secondary units, or full-scale renovations all require drain line installation that is properly engineered for the load and layout of the new space. Poorly planned installation leads to chronic drainage problems, code violations, and costly corrections that could have been avoided with the right expertise from the start. Mr. Rooter Plumbing designs and installs drain systems in El Lago with careful attention to slope, venting, and pipe sizing so your new construction performs flawlessly for the long haul.

Most homeowner's insurance will cover sudden and accidental water damage, like a pipe that unexpectedly bursts, but it usually doesn't cover damage from neglected maintenance or gradual leaks. Reading your policy carefully and asking your agent about water backup coverage is worth the time before something goes wrong.
Your main shutoff valve is usually located near the water meter, which is normally found in the basement, crawl space, garage, or along an exterior wall on the side of the house facing the street. Knowing exactly where it is before an emergency saves valuable time.
Those sounds come from sediment that's settled at the bottom of the tank and is being disturbed as the water heats up around it. Flushing the tank annually helps prevent buildup, but if the noise is loud or the unit is older, it may be worth having a plumber assess whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
Having a plumber inspect your system once a year is a good general rule, especially if your home is older or you've had recurring issues. Routine maintenance catches small problems before they become expensive repairs and gives you peace of mind about the overall health of your system.
A small waterproof camera is fed through your drain or sewer line to give the plumber a live view of what's happening inside the pipe. It's one of the most accurate ways to diagnose a recurring clog, locate a crack, or check the overall condition of older pipes.
Yes, tree roots actively seek out moisture and can infiltrate even small cracks in sewer pipes, growing into the line and eventually causing significant blockages or structural damage. Older clay or cast iron pipes are especially vulnerable, and regular camera inspections can catch root intrusion early.
Hydro jetting uses a high-pressure stream of water to blast out buildup, grease, and debris from the inside of your pipes. It's especially useful for commercial properties or homes with heavily scaled or repeatedly clogging drain lines that a standard snake can't fully clear.
Watch out for a sudden spike in your utility bill, soft or discolored spots on walls or ceilings, the sound of running water when nothing is in use, or damp areas around the foundation. An experienced plumber can use leak detection equipment to locate the problem without unnecessary damage to your home.
Sewer smells inside a home often point to a dried-out P-trap, a cracked or damaged wax ring under a toilet, or a venting issue in the drain system. Running water in rarely used fixtures usually solves a dry P-trap, but persistent odors should be inspected by a plumber to rule out a more serious issue.
